mela..

"Charon khan or ek maidan ab chuzon ki race main",hey readers this is not the promotion of any movie,this is the stall arranged by Jinnah University for Women students on which they are having a race of chicks.This is the scene of one stall,lots of more stalls arrange by the students of University at mela,which was arranged by the management of Jinnah University.
Mela was arranged at the lawn of Jinnah University.There were so many stalls which consist of games,food items,dresses,jewelleries,nail arts,books etc.Many of girls having face paintings and applying heena.This mela was also coveraged by our media.
The Chief guest of the mela was Raza Haroon,MPA Sindh and Faisal Sabzwari,Youth minister.Rides were Jinnah university for women also placed at mela and was attended by so many outsiders too.So many games are arranged by the students which grab the attention of visitors and also a lucky draw was arranged by BBA students which contain a Remington straightner,Junaid Jamshaid suit and so many items.
It was the graet fun activity arranged by the university because students need this type of activities in there hectic schedule.

Train Accident

15 died and almost 25 people were injured in the blast at railway track of Cannt station,Karachi.It occur at 5 pm when the passengers are waiting for there train.After blast a huge panic was created at station.Victims were shifted to Liaquat National hospital.Many people were searching for there loved ones at station and at hospital too.Due to this blast a schedule of trains is disturbed.

News no.1:
HEADLINE: Auditions for hosting at mass communication department.

On 18th february,friday,hosting auditions takeplace at BS-3rd year,mass communication department.4 girls were taking part in it,out of them 2 were reached to the finals through students voting and after hat 1 girl had won. The girl who had won get the chance to host the
"COME CONNECT" event which is arranged by the students of Mass Communication on 27th february.

News no.2:
HEADLINE: Usage of mobile phones are prohibited at library.

1 of the rule of JUW is that
                        "anyonewho is using cell phone in library have to pay fine"

But when i visit library i saw many of students using cell phones and listening mp3.Then i talk to miss Sophia,head of library and ask her that could she really charge students than she told: 

                       "We don't let them use mobile phones if anybody caught on

                        calls or listening mp3,we grab it and return it to them when

                        they leave the room but we don,t charge them fine."  

The rules mention in the entrance of library are just like a reading element.No one is following it.

On 18th february,Friday,2 girls sitting at the roof stairs of college section and doing hand wax of eachother.

Guest lecture at Jinnah university..

On 29 jan 2011,Owais Mangalwala,the documentry film maker and the host of the program "Citizen Journalist" at Dawn News came to Jinnah University and gave lecture on Citizen Journalism.He is an anchor and producer of show "state of shria" and "citizen jornalist".
          He told that the Citizen Journalist is a person who use use the tools of journalism and delivered the news.We need a Citizen Journalist because our reporter can't reach at every place.He had an interactive session with students.Mr. Owais told the key points which are important for Citizen Journalist.

• Inevitably is to be real.
• Start reporting from common events,dn't wait for big event.
• Be expressive,write your own point of view.
• Be accurate,always report with right facts.
• dn't ever copy.
• always remember that:

                                 'Everyone can be a reporter and everything canbe reported'

                        After guest lecture, Miss Humera,Teacher of mass communication department, share her thoughts and say thanks to Mr.Mangalwala and appreciate the presence of her students.

                      After these lectures, a girl from marketing department had an activity with students related to there morning show"Mast Morning with MAIRA" at which she show some clipings of thta show and take comments from students.
